Welcome to my channel! Today, I'm providing a simple unboxing and setup guide for the Brother Color Laser Printer. Additionally, I'll highlight some features that influenced my decision to purchase this printer.
Unboxing and Initial Setup
Unboxing:
Remove the printer from the box.
Remove the protective tape and packaging materials, including the protection off the cartridges.
Lift each cartridge, remove the orange protective piece, and set it aside.
Paper Tray Preparation:
Remove the paper from the tray.
Ensure all cartridges are correctly inserted to avoid errors.
Extend the paper size guides as necessary to ensure nothing is stuck.
Powering On:
Turn on the printer.
Follow the on-screen prompts, including agreeing to updates.
Restart the printer when prompted by pressing the power button.
Setting Up the Printer
Loading Paper:
Insert paper into the bottom tray.
Respond to the tray removal message if prompted about changing the paper size.
Wireless Connection:
Access the Setup Wizard to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Select your SSID and connect.
Update the firmware if a new update is found.
Feature Overview:
Print via USB, fax, scan, and send documents to cloud applications or email.
Monitor toner levels, test print, calibrate, and register the printer.
Customize screen settings and shortcuts.
Printer Features
Automatic Document Feeder:
The 50-sheet automatic document feeder is ideal for making multiple copies quickly.
Scans both sides of a document automatically, saving time.
Print Speed:
Prints up to 25 pages per minute, significantly faster than older models that print around 10-11 pages per minute.
Dual Trays:
The main paper tray holds 250 sheets, approximately half a standard ream of paper.
The multi-purpose tray above the main tray can hold 30 sheets, suitable for labels, envelopes, or cards.
Wireless Printing:
Supports wireless printing from smartphones or computers.
Place the printer anywhere in your room or office without worrying about cables.
If your computer doesn’t recognize the printer, you can manually enter the printer's IP address in the settings.
Cartridge Compatibility:
Uses TN223 toner cartridges.
